Full Job Description
Position Summary

The position is a producing manager role and is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development and retention of the Mortgage Loan Officers (MLO's) of Susser Bank Mortgage for assigned territories. Additionally, the employee is expected to meet minimum production metrics for their book of business. This role is for the Sales Manager that also originates as an MLO. Delivering minimum productions metrics for managed producers and employee is critical to long-term success. There are two sets of primary duties and responsibilities for this role:

Primary Sales Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and day-to-day sales support to Mortgage Loan Officers to promote individual performance and professional development.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts for mortgage production staff in partnership with senior sales leadership.
  • Assist loan officers with pipeline management, goal development, and sales activity planning.
  • Communicate sales goals, initiatives, and policy updates as directed by senior leadership.
  • Promote professional, ethical, and customer focused sales practices consistent with Bank standards.
  • Ensure sales activities are conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Maintain an active personal production pipeline consistent with the expectations of a producing manager role.
  • Lead by example in sales activity, professionalism, compliance, and customer experience.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training, and strategic initiatives as assigned.


Primary Mortgage Loan Officer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Originate residential mortgage loans by developing referral relationships and sourcing new lending opportunities.
  • Meet with borrowers during the application process to determine financial objectives, take complete and accurate loan applications, and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.
  • Collect required documentation and submit complete loan files to the assigned processor.
  • Apprise borrowers of available pricing scenarios and initiate rate locks in accordance with bank policy.
  • Coordinate with processing and underwriting teams to support on-time, compliant closings.
  • Provide ongoing communication to borrowers and referral partners to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Perform all loan origination activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies.


Education and Experience Required

  • High school or equivalent degree required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • 5 years of managerial experience required.
