Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Mount Laurel, NJ.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)Hands-on experience developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining software using C++, Python, Java, and Java Script.
Experience with software requirements, architecture, detailed design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and software verification.
Experience using version-control tools such as Git and working within established software configuration-management processes.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESWe in the Machinery Controls & Automation Products department provide the control system capabilities that enable safe, reliable, and efficient shipboard operations across multiple platforms and customers. Our work demands deep technical rigor, disciplined execution, and forward looking innovation. This position will be responsible for developing software according to requirements, supporting system test and performance analyses, and developing and delivering software-related artifacts to the customer. Ensures software standards are met.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAccredited High School/GED.
WORK HOURSFull-Time; 4/10-1st Shift. HYB
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
