Responsibilities PURPOSE OF POSITION: Serves as a Tier 2-3 subject matter expert and administrator for Microsoft 365 apps and the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem (Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, and Cowork). Owns Copilot and Cowork configuration, Microsoft 365 license operations, and Jira (Atlassian) administration, and partners closely with the AI Enablement Specialist to turn AI access policy and adoption goals into a well-run, secure platform.
This position can work from any Altec manufacturing location, with preference given to associates located in Birmingham, AL; St. Joseph, MO; Creedmoor, NC; or Mt. Airy, NC.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Configure, troubleshoot, and administer Microsoft 365 apps and Copilot (Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Cowork) using admin portals and scripting tools such as PowerShell
- Provide Tier 2-3 support, resolving issues escalated from enablement teams and end users
- Manage Microsoft 365 and Copilot license operations, including assignment, provisioning, reclamation, and cost tracking
- Implement and maintain Copilot and AI access policies, settings, and controls in partnership with AI Enablement and Security
- Manage helpdesk intake, requests, and administration in Jira (Atlassian)
- Review Microsoft 365 upcoming changes and new features for admin impact and readiness
- Develop and track metrics for Microsoft 365 and Copilot, including usage, adoption, licensing, and cost
- Create detailed documentation of configuration, settings, and support procedures
- Partner with the AI Enablement Specialist and Modern Workplace team to support rollouts and adoption
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related technical discipline strongly preferred and 4 years relevant experience OR 6 years relevant work experience
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 apps and services
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot administration preferred
- PowerShell or scripting experience
- Experience with ticketing or work management tools such as Jira
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with various business units to understand needs and resolve issues
- The job level may be modified upward based on the qualifications of the candidate
