Aleut is seeking a Missile Warning Instructor/Curriculum Developer to support the 533d Training Squadron's USSF Guardian Enlisted Training (GET) initiative at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. Work is slated to start on 1 January 2027 (contingent upon contract award).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Develop and instruct missile warning and missile defense curriculum; teach warning architectures, ITW/AA processes, theater missile warning, and associated operational systems.
- Assess and mentor students.
- Support integrated events, guest instruction, and multi-course instruction.
- Support mission integration and Graduation Exercise (GRADEX) activities.
- Participate in curriculum reviews, agile course development and maintenance efforts.
- Maintain LMS records and student documentation.
- Participate in faculty development and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate activities with Contract PM and government supervisory personnel.
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS- Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience.
- Experience developing curriculum using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) standards.
- Prior completion of AETC Basic Instructor Course (BIC) or other service equivalent, accepted by CCAF or ability to obtain a CCAF accredited BIC certification within 3 months after employment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree required or Community College of the Air Force associates degree in Air & Space Operations Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ISD-based curriculum/lesson development.
- Minimum 3 years of space experience in the specific mission area of this position with a US Government agency.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a formal instructor or 5 years as a briefer/public speaking.
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Work on-site, indoor office and classroom environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to perform repetitive keyboard tasks and associated motions for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds.
SALARY RANGE- $85,000 -- $225,000 (annual) depending on qualifications.
