Primary Purpose: Support, monitor and maintain SQL Databases and servers to ensure optimum performance. In addition, ensure adequate backup and recovery procedures are in place and routinely tested. Provide programming support to main (eSchoolPLUS, IEPPlus and BusinessPLUS) software systems as well as various ancillary systems in use throughout the district such as Edulog and Food Services.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or business related discipline
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Technical proficiency with SQL databases SQL scripting, Windows Server and, Windows desktop operating systems required
- Knowledge in HTML programming, XML, Visual Basic and ASP highly desirable
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in SQL Database administration
Major Responsibilities and Duties: Application Support - Perform SQL administration including security, backup and maintenance.
- Perform Windows Server administration including security, backup and maintenance.
- Coordinate data integration to other systems using SSIS.
- Coordinate hardware and software maintenance agreements for Windows servers and SQL databases to ensure un-interrupted coverage.
- Be familiar with, and provide support for, BusinessPLUS (business management software system), eSchoolPLUS (student management software system), IEPPlus (Special Education) and other purchased or locally developed software systems.
- Create and maintain reports using SSRS.
Other - Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief.
- Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned

2026-2027 Salary Range Min. $92,234 Mid. $108,294 Max. $124,357 (Based on previous experience)
Salary is based on 235 days. If working less than 235 days, the salary will be less.
