The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Mine Supervisor to lead and support mining operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and productive work of a mining crew while ensuring alignment with the mine plan and operational targets. This position requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and the ability to adapt shift plans to maximize resources and maintain production goals.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and supervise mining crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the mine plan.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.
  • Set and achieve production targets while maximizing the performance of personnel and equipment.
  • Coordinate with processing, services, ground control, production, and development teams to optimize operations.
  • Maintain accurate shift logs and communicate production, safety, and operational updates between shifts.
  • Conduct routine safety audits and inspections, including equipment checks, refuge stations, fire suppression systems, and explosive storage areas.
  • Verify that proper lockout/tagout procedures, equipment inspections, and safety protocols are being followed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, logistics, and other departments to resolve operational challenges.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in safety and production planning meetings and provide operational updates to leadership.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging worker input and reinforcing best practices.
  • Ensure crews have the necessary tools, materials, and safety equipment to complete their work.
  • Support workforce development through training recommendations and employee performance evaluations.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably within mining or heavy industrial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.
  • Experience supervising mining crews and coordinating production activities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage shift operations effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt operational plans as conditions change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Mining Common Core certification.
  • Supervisory Common Core certification.
  • 5+ years of mining experience in underground or surface operations.
  • Experience leading safety initiatives and conducting operational audits.
Compensation Range: $120,000 - $135,000
