About the role

We are looking for a Mine Controller to support surface mining operations through real-time fleet coordination and control room execution.

Reporting to the Mine Control Supervisor, on a rotating 5/5/4 day / night shift roster and working collaboratively with operational and functional teams, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and controlling real-time mining activities using MineStar Fleet Management System
  • Executing and adjusting the daily and shift plan to achieve safe production targets
  • Optimizing haulage performance by managing equipment allocation and minimizing delays
  • Coordinating material movement to ensure alignment with the mine plan
  • Maintaining accurate fleet data and system integrity within MineStar
  • Communicating with field operators, supervisors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Responding to operational disruptions including emergencies to minimize downtime and maintain safe production flow
  • Tracking performance metrics and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining shift logs, reports, and operational records


About you

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Experience in surface mining operations, ideally within load and haul
  • Previous experience in control room operations, dispatch, or similar role
  • Experience using Fleet Management Systems, preferably MineStar
  • Strong understanding of truck and shovel operations
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
