Position Overview
Teach 6th/7th grade Math and Science, delivering rigorous, engaging, standards-aligned instruction that develops students' problem-solving, critical-thinking, and STEM skills.
Plan and implement hands-on STEM lessons, activities, and assessments that make Math and Science accessible and engaging for students with varied learning needs.
Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment with high academic and behavioral expectations while effectively managing an urban middle school classroom.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to monitor student progress, address learning needs, and contribute proactively to the broader school community.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Valid New York State Teaching Certification preferred
Non-certified candidates must have at least 12 college credits in the relevant subject area and provide transcripts demonstrating subject-matter expertise
