PlaceWorks is seeking a full-time, Associate or Senior Planner in Orange County or Los Angeles to manage general plan updates, general plan amendments, specific plans, and similar long-range planning projects. The ideal candidate is conscientious, creative, self-starting, outgoing, collaborative, and passionate about helping shape and improve communities.

Supporting associate principals, principals, and other senior staff, the Associate or Senior Planner will support the Project Manager and/or Principal-in-Charge with research, report writing, analysis, and public outreach to contribute to the successful completion of projects at a variety of scales, often working concurrently on more than one project. The person in this position will also manage projects or tasks within a larger project. The person in this position would report to Principals in our Santa Ana or Los Angeles offices and work with other team members around the state.

  • You have a reliable means of transportation to and from work, and to perform site visits and attend meetings.

For an Associate position, the pay range is $75,000 - $111,000 per year, dependent upon experience and other relevant factors. For a Senior Associate position, the pay range is $95,000 - $160,000 per year, dependent upon experience and other relevant factors.
