Full Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a talented Mid-Level Air & Missile Defense Radar Simulation Engineer/Analyst to join a well-established and growing Air & Missile Defense team that supports the development, test, and fielding of air & missile defense radar systems.

Responsibilities:
  • The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex Air & Missile defense radars.
  • Common tasks for this position include scenario design and development, analysis tool development, and application of new or existing tools to perform complex analysis on radar system performance.
  • The chosen candidate will enhance their understanding of critical radar functions including acquisition, scheduling, tracking, discrimination, advanced functions, and system-level interactions.
  • They may support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, post-flight reconstructions, simulation integration, execution and analysis and risk reduction efforts.
  • The selected candidate will work in a highly dynamic environment that promotes team interaction, collaboration, and the development of creative solutions to challenging problems.


Job Requirements:
  • US Citizenship.
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or other STEM degree from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in radar sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering.
  • Proficient in modeling and data analysis using Matlab, Python, and/or similar tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and independently.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Clearance Requirements: Candidate must currently possess a SECRET clearance.


Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Physics or other STEM.
  • Experience with Patriot, LTAMDS, Sentinel or other Army radar systems (and/or associated digital representations).
  • Experience with radar analysis, radar systems engineering and/or radar operations.
  • Experience with radar signal/detection injection HWIL systems or electronic attack/electronic protection systems.
  • Experience leading the development of complex analysis tools using Matlab.
  • Experience with other aspects of the Air & Missile Defense including threat/targets, IBCS, missile system uplink/downlinks, radar system test data and analysis and simulation frameworks.
