Job Summary
The Managed File Transfer (MFT) Automation Specialist is responsible for securely loading, sending, and routing files into, out of, and across the organization's network. This role serves as a subject-matter expert in managed file transfer operations, automated file transfers, and batch processing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong collaboration, accountability, commitment to service quality, and the ability to support organizational values.
Key Responsibilities
• Independently support and resolve failed workflows with minimal supervision.
• Support automated file transfer processes for internal and external clients.
• Support and maintain batch processing operations, ensuring jobs complete successfully.
• Diagnose and resolve batch processing issues in a time-sensitive production environment.
• Support and administer Managed File Transfer (MFT) processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including requirements, connection configurations, and test plans.
• Identify and recommend system and process improvements proactively.
• Respond to daily inquiries, including locating files, performing ad hoc transfers, and testing connectivity.
• Submit new connectivity requests, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and coordinate and test connectivity with new trading partners.
• Manage certificates, including installation, renewal, and expiration tracking.
Required Qualifications
• Working knowledge of Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
• Working knowledge of MOVEit.
• Working knowledge of VisualCron.
• Ability to learn and apply SQL.
• Hands-on experience monitoring and troubleshooting network performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work efficiently, multitask, prioritize competing demands, and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
