  • Communicate capabilities and schedules to ensure production efficiency.
  • Liaise with vendors to finalize product specifications and arrange procurement.
  • Evaluate product quality against established standards.

Job Summary
Plans, designs and constructs manufacturing facilities and related structures | Determines facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources and structural design | Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvements Impact of the Role

Essential Functions
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Confers with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.
  • Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards.
      • Required Qualifications
      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience
      • Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree

      Physical Requirements
      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
      • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
      • May be requested to work a different shift.
      • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
      Travel RequirementsUp to 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD)$83,950.00 - $113,600.00 Additional CompensationHired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
