Job Description We're searching for a US-based MEDITECH Programmer to join our healthcare interoperability team so that we can help healthcare organizations connect critical systems and information seamlessly. The MEDITECH Programmer will design, develop, implement, and support custom interfaces and data migrations, including HL7 interfaces, flat file generation, SQL data imports, and data transformations, managing the full interface lifecycle to improve operational efficiency, data exchange, and patient care outcomes.
How You'll Spend Your Time - Design, build, configure, and deploy custom interfaces according to customer and business requirements to support healthcare data exchange and interoperability
- Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and reliability of deployed solutions through customer acceptance and transition to production
- Use programming tools for MEDITECH Magic, Client/Server, Focus, NPR Report Writer, and/or M-AT Report Designer to develop, support, and optimize solutions that use MEDITECH data
- Prioritize and manage customer issues, troubleshoot technical problems, identify root causes, and communicate status updates clearly to customers, project teams, and stakeholders
- Partner with project managers, customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver successful interface projects while maintaining accurate documentation and improving workflows
What Kind of Things We're Most Interested in You Having - Minimum of 2 years of MEDITECH application experience (hospital IT, MEDITECH, or similar), including programming in MEDITECH Magic, Client/Server, Focus, NPR Report Writer, and/or M-AT Report Designer
- Proven success developing, implementing, and supporting HL7 interfaces within healthcare IT, application development, or systems integration environments
- In-depth knowledge on how to work with MEDITECH data structures and architecture, including NPR and/or M-AT development and integration points
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex technical environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Sincere interest in healthcare interoperability
- Familiarity with interface engines, healthcare data standards, integration best practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
- A knack for working collaboratively across implementation, support, and project delivery teams, with strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
