Description

The Medical Physicist advances the early development and continuous improvements of Elekta solutions by translating customer needs, clinical expertise and real-world experience into product innovation. The role supports early-stage clinical developments and evaluations as well as customer testing activities, while gathering and leveraging customer feedback and clinical insights to drive product enhancements throughout the product lifecycle. As a radiation therapy subject matter expert, they advocate for clinical best practice, optimize solutions and workflows, and ensure the customer voice is embedded in product development and improvement.

Responsibilities
• Provide in-depth insights into customer requirements, challenges and potential gains. Be the voice of the customer during definition of the vision, strategy and roadmaps, working collaboratively with product managers.
• Manage key customers, working collaboratively with the Product Management team. This includes managing Alpha and Beta development sites, as well as supporting Pilots as needed. Prepare and attend review meetings, report progress and drive actions.
• Work closely with engineering and Product Management to define, test and refine new features and solutions based on real world use of Elekta solutions.
• Define, analyze and maintain end-to-end workflows (i.e. workflow measurements and insights, tumor specific workflows, emerging trends, existing treatments) that can scale across multiple sites and geographies.
• Assess performance of new developments through critical reviews, exploratory testing and early validation. Use metrics to compare the performance of current and new solutions; as well as against competitor solutions.
• Maintain cross portfolio alignment and knowledge in breadth and depth in order to strengthen the value propositions of the Elekta portfolio.
• Contribute to the collection, review and analysis of customer feedback, complaints to drive product improvements.
• Pro-actively disseminate clinical knowledge across Elekta to increase clinical awareness. Support complex or specialized projects, products or solutions.
• Support seamless go-to-market strategies (i.e. sales education, trade show support, demo scripts, demos, collation of customer feedback & proposal of proof points)
• Be a trusted advisor, effective communicator and clinical expert between the customer and internal stakeholders.
• Be a role model of Elekta Values.

• Owns internal reports, such as workflows, exploratory testing reports & customer feedback.
• Provides customer reports, such as workflow assessments and evaluation reports.

Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required, and a Masters is preferred
• At least 5 years' experience in clinical radiation oncology.
• Ability to use subject matter expertise and knowledge to collaborate and influence across functions.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and convey complex technical solutions that combines hardware, electronics and software.
• Persistent and persuasive behavior to own and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Collaborative mindset, ability to act without formal authority across functions.
• Integrator of technical and commercial views.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
