Job Description:Vitalant is hiring experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories. What to ExpectWork Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday with an alternating 3:00 am or 4:00 am start time
Pay Rate: 45.00 - 48.00 per hour DOE

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to- Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations.
- Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
- Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency (ASCP)
- State licensure as required by CA regulations
Experience- 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist
- or
- 5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required or equivalent education, training.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSCalifornia State licensure required
ASCP Certification Preferred
EXPERIENCE1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/educational requirements OR 5 years or more experience for the Medical Laboratory Technician.
