Summary:Ponessa Behavioral Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director and provide clinical leadership for our established behavioral health organization in Central Pennsylvania.
The OpportunityThe Medical Director provides medical and psychiatric leadership for PBH's psychiatric services and works collaboratively with the CEO, psychiatric providers, nursing leadership, clinical Directors, and Quality/Compliance team.
Responsibilities include providing psychiatric and clinical leadership; establishing and maintaining standards for high-quality psychiatric care; providing clinical consultation to psychiatric providers and organizational leadership; participating in quality improvement, regulatory compliance and clinical policy development; supporting recruitment and clinical evaluation of psychiatric providers; participating in required clinical meetings and interdisciplinary consultation; and maintaining an agreed-upon clinical caseload appropriate to the physician's overall schedule and Medical Director responsibilities.
We believe the position should be structured around the strengths of the right physician. The specific balance of clinical care, administrative leadership, on-site presence and remote work will be developed collaboratively based upon the candidate's experience, interests and availability, as well as PBH's regulatory and operational requirements.
Qualifications• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality psychiatric care
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Leadership experience preferred, but previous Medical Director experience is
not requiredExperience with community behavioral health, outpatient psychiatry, Medicaid populations, child/adolescent psychiatry, or interdisciplinary behavioral healthcare is valued but not required.
CompensationPonessa Behavioral Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, schedule, and the structure of the position.
Full-time, part-time, and flexible arrangements will be considered. Sign-on and/or relocation assistance may also be considered for the right candidate.
