Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a physician leader to serve as
Medical Director of the Blood Management Program in Bangor, Maine.
This role provides clinical and strategic leadership for a multidisciplinary program focused on blood conservation, transfusion stewardship, anemia management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance across the health system.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care and participate in call coverage as assigned
- Lead the Blood Management Program and chair the Blood Management Steering Committee
- Develop and maintain evidence-based blood management and transfusion protocols
- Monitor blood utilization, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance
- Lead education and quality improvement initiatives across the health system
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to support program growth and accreditation
Compensation Information
- $314,160 annual base salary
• The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.
