The Mechanical/Structural Work Package Planner supports project execution by preparing and maintaining construction work packages, short-range work plans, progress records, quantity tracking, and routine project controls reporting for assigned mechanical and structural scopes.

Working under the direction of project controls and field leadership, this position gathers information from drawings, specifications, material status reports, field observations, and project systems to help ensure work packages are complete and ready for field execution. The role regularly coordinates with Superintendents, General Foremen, Schedulers, Cost personnel, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to obtain required information, update project records, and communicate identified constraints or discrepancies to the appropriate project team member.

This role will be located near Andrews,TX.

• Work Package Preparation: Assemble and maintain mechanical and structural construction work packages using approved drawings, specifications, submittals, material information, and established project requirements; organize documentation by area, system, elevation, workfront, or crew as directed.
• Short-Range Planning Support: Prepare and update three-week look-aheads and other short-range work plans using information provided by field supervision and project controls; document sequencing issues, material shortages, drawing holds, access limitations, and other identified constraints for review by project leadership.
• Progress & Quantity Tracking: Collect field-installed quantities, percent-complete information, labor data, and other progress measurements; enter and maintain information in established trackers and project systems and identify discrepancies requiring supervisor review.
• Drawing & Document Review: Review drawings, specifications, details, and approved submittals to verify that required information is available for planned work; document missing or conflicting information and route questions or issues to the appropriate supervisor, engineer, or project team member.
• Routine Reporting: Update quantity trackers, productivity reports, progress reports, manpower information, work package logs, and other recurring project controls reports using established formats, procedures, and reporting cycles.
• Field Coordination: Participate in field walks and coordination meetings, gather current work status from field supervision, document action items, and follow up on assigned items to help maintain available and productive workfronts.
• Data & Systems Maintenance: Maintain work package logs, progress databases, look-aheads, quantity records, and supporting project documentation; perform routine data checks and corrections to help maintain accurate and consistent project records.

• 4+ years of combined experience in construction planning, work packaging, scheduling, project controls, field engineering, progress measurement, or related construction functions.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and structural construction sequencing, execution practices, workfront planning, and construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience developing or coordinating work packages and tracking installed quantities, physical progress, productivity, or field performance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to maintain quantity trackers, progress data, look-aheads, forecasts, and routine project reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with both field supervision and project leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy project environment and mobilize to assigned project sites as required.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Bluebeam, earned value management principles, schedule analysis, or industrial, infrastructure, energy, or data center construction projects is preferred; experience supporting large projects with 500+ site personnel and bilingual English/Spanish skills are also preferred.
