Full Job Description
Position Overview

The Field Engineer provides planning and technical support to the construction team. The core duties will include acting as a point of contact to resolve technical issues at the work front as well as aspects of WorkFace Planning, such as work packaging and status updates. Supplemental duties will arise based on experience and personal aptitude, including Change Order Management, Quality Control, Completions and support for the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage field operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Generate Requests for Information (RFIs) with Clients and/or Subcontractors and track their impacts on project scope, schedule and cost. Review project Specifications, Standards and Drawings from Clients, Subcontractors and Fabricators.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and identify potential issues.
  • Planning: Understand the Project Schedule and follow WorkFace Planning best practices to ensure the field personnel have the Work Packages to execute in alignment with the schedule.
  • Reporting: Prepare project status reports addressing schedule, progress, staffing, safety and open issues.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and monitor delivery and review of documents, drawings, and submittals.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet the required specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all field activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications
  • Education: BS Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in field engineering, preferably in power generation, petrochemical, or similar industrial projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Experience with engineering, scheduling and project management software tools is an advantage. Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
