As a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, leading a team of engineers in the development of innovative products from concept through production. In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities, overseeing mechanical design activities, driving project execution, mentoring engineering staff, and ensuring successful product launches. You will be responsible for managing engineering resources, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mechanical Engineers and Designers to achieve departmental and project objectives.
- Manage engineering workload, staffing priorities, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.
- Oversee the mechanical design, development, validation, and release of new products from project kickoff through production launch.
- Ensure engineering projects meet quality, cost, performance, and schedule objectives.
- Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and engineering changes.
- Facilitate peer-level, cross-functional, and executive-level design reviews.
- Support clean-sheet mechanical design efforts for electric vehicle propulsion systems, including electric motors, power electronics (inverters), transmissions, and related components.
- Provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges, product architecture, manufacturability, and design optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering processes, product quality, and design efficiency.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Customer teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate recovery plans when needed.
- Champion engineering best practices, including CAD standards, GD&T application, design verification, and documentation control.
- Support talent acquisition, employee development planning, performance management, and succession planning activities.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and collaboration within the engineering organization.

$115,200 - $162,000
