At Vallourec, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will lead, coordinate, and execute major capital and maintenance projects across the mill while providing essential technical expertise to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Your Role at a Glance
  • Organize, plan, coordinate, and monitor assigned mechanical engineering projects.
  • Identify project phases, technical requirements, and resource needs.
  • Manage major mechanical capital investment projects to ensure completion on time, within budget, and achieving ROI.
  • Supervise contracted mechanical resources with strict adherence to safety procedures (toolbox talks, daily permits, continuous supervision).
  • Lead and support mechanical maintenance projects to resolve issues across the mill.
  • Maintain mechanical technical documents, schematics, and prints and ensure accessibility for plant personnel.
  • Manage mechanical disciplines of approved capital projects and support cross-functional engineering initiatives.
  • Provide daily mechanical troubleshooting and technical support to mill personnel.
  • Manage and maintain all mechanical documentation, manuals, and prints.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Project.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
  • Willingness to travel 10% for supplier visits, acceptance tests, and benchmarking.
