Mechanical Engineer (Major Equipment) opportunity in
Oak Ridge, TN at the
Y-12 National Security Complex.
Description:The Major Equipment Mechanical Engineer will support the following tasks:
- Estimating, specifying, designing, procurement and construction support of specialty and first of a kind equipment such as gloveboxaes, furnaces, high vacuum systems and metal casting/machining equipment.
- Creating design concepts using Pro/Engineer (CREO) CAD software and topology optimization software as appropriate.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience leading multi-discipline machine design efforts is preferred
- Experience producing build-to-print equipment fabrication packages is preferred
- CREO parametric experience is preferred
Other Job Requirements: - United States Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Security Clearance. Active Q preferred.
