  • Apply technical expertise to solve design problems or to gauge appropriateness of product to various applications as it relates to commercial HVAC heating codes, standards, and certification requirements.
  • Participate on project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost and schedule objectives.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including 3D models, bills of materials, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct design FMEAs; develop and execute resulting risk mitigation plans.
  • Both domestic and international travel may be required. Estimated travel is 10%.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Engineering Discipline.
  • 2+ years experience contributing to technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
  • Deep expertise in commercial HVAC heating system design for gas-fired and/or electric heat products, including system architecture, component integration, thermal performance, and product development from concept through launch
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC heating codes, standards, and certification requirements, including ANSI Z21/CSA, UL/CSA, and IEC/EN requirements where applicable
  • Experience applying combustion safety, electrical safety, temperature limit, and abnormal operation requirements in product design, validation, and release
  • Proven ability to support product certification, qualification, and listing activities, including coordination with UL, CSA, AHRI, and other applicable certification or regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrate senior-level capability in validation, risk assessment, root cause investigation, and cross-functional leadership across mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams
