We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Engineer, to join our talented engineering team. Here are some of the things you'll be working on:
  • Dynamic and growing industry with an international client base, global travel, engineering work, project leadership, design influence and creative problem solving
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and contractors on technical matters as required, involving travel to customer and supplier sites internationally.
  • Continue to develop expertise related to EMS-Tech Inc. equipment, systems and methods of analysis and design.
  • Experience leading technical teams, excellent organizational skills
  • Establish conceptual designs and complete analysis and calculation details to satisfy project needs and specifications.
  • Demonstrate excellent technical report writing skills and maintain EMS-Tech Inc.'s confidentiality and intellectual property standards.
  • Participate in the establishment of task scope, design concept, specification, schedules and budgeted hours.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills using mechanical modelling software and analysis techniques.
  • Ability to coach less experienced engineers in basic manual methods to verify mechanical modelling and analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrate advanced level understanding of drawing presentation.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science
  • Licensed P.Eng. in Ontario, or other
  • 8-20 years of industry-specific experience in sizing and selecting mechanical components.
  • Proficiency in technical report writing and interaction with suppliers, customers, and design teams.
  • Prior knowledge of FEM Section II, AS4324, CEMA or DIN 22101 conveyor design, hydraulic design, bearing selection, and motor power calculations, is an asset.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FEA and DEM analysis tools
  • Ability to uphold EMS-Tech Inc.'s safety and confidentiality practices
