Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with a focus on mechanical systems, IL PE required.
• 8+ years of experience in the design and assessment of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficient in interpreting architectural drawings and creating 3D models to support designs.
• Strong foundational knowledge of modeling tools like Revit, Trane Load/Trace, or Carrier/Hap.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of drafting clear technical reports.
• Valid driver's license for site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Execute planning and design tasks for facility rehabilitations and water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Develop engineering solutions using ASHRAE, NFP standards, and building codes.
• Assess and specify mechanical equipment for public facilities and utilities.
• Oversee the creation of drawings and models adhering to company design standards.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, plans, and specifications.
• Guide junior staff in project tasks and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct QA/QC at various stages of project submittals.
