About the roleThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and integration of structural and mechanical systems associated with aircraft modifications, repairs, and certification programs.
This role develops installation concepts, structural reinforcements, equipment mounts, and mechanical system integrations required to support new aircraft capabilities while maintaining airworthiness and regulatory compliance. The Mechanical Engineer ensures that designs are structurally sound, manufacturable, maintainable, and compatible with the aircraft's existing configuration.
Mechanical Engineers work closely with Electrical Engineers, Designers, Certification Engineers, Production personnel, and external stakeholders to develop engineering solutions that meet technical, regulatory, and operational requirements. Mechanical Engineers will also support and fulfill the role of Mechanical Designer/Modelers as needed.
