What's in it for you:Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing the equipment and systems that support the overall goals of the organization. You will collaborate with engineering teams, develop concepts for new & improved commercial HVAC products and solve complex technical problems, leading to production of sustainable new products.
What you will do:- Meet the needs of internal and external customers, through documenting, understanding and prioritizing customer requirements.
- Apply technical expertise to solve design problems or to gauge appropriateness of product to various applications.
- Participate on project teams to meet performance, reliability, cost and schedule objectives.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including 3D models (Autodesk® Inventor®), bills of materials, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct design FMEAs; develop and execute resulting risk mitigation plans.
- Both domestic and international travel may be required. Estimated travel is 10%.
What you will bring:- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Engineering Discipline.
- 2+ years experience contributing to technical aspects of product design projects, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
- Deliver technical designs to meet project and product requirements.
- Prior experience using PLM software (i.e. Teamcenter) is desired
