Full Job Description
Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking an innovative and collaborative physician leader to serve as Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Care Network (JHACCN). This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician passionate about value-based care, population health, and physician engagement to help shape the future of pediatric healthcare delivery across a growing network of providers.

This position includes 0.4 FTE dedicated to the primary responsibilities of the role. For candidates seeking a full-time appointment, the position may be expanded to 1.0 FTE through the addition of a 0.6 FTE clinical practice component.

The Medical Director will provide strategic and clinical leadership for JHACCN, a clinically integrated network (CIN) designed to improve the quality, coordination, and value of care for pediatric patients. Working closely with physician leaders, network providers, payors, and hospital leadership, this individual will advance clinical integration initiatives, support value-based care arrangements, and lead programs that improve patient outcomes while enhancing the provider experience.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board-certified physician with a minimum of five years of successful clinical practice experience; Primary Care background preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical practice, physician engagement, committee leadership, or healthcare administration.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience designing and implementing value-based care delivery programs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with clinically integrated networks, accountable care models, and population health strategies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of managed care principles and familiarity with NCQA and URAC standards is a plus.
