Position: Materials Supervisor

Overall Responsibility:Responsible for developing and maintaining an efficient production schedule for AMTB Woodstock. The individual works closely with suppliers, external customers and internal customers to ensure 100% accurate on time delivery of all shipments. This supports the plant goals for manufacturing excellence and profitability.
Accountabilities:• Ensure efficient material flow, and the timely shipment of products to meet the daily production requirements.
• Assist with increasing product profitability through the continual improvement of manufacturing and work processes.
• Coach and develop the shipping/receiving and materials group as individuals and as a team through the execution of the plant's production processes.
• Key contact for Dock/Door Maintenance
• Create and update Shipping Schedules
• Implement and maintain a weighing system for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Responsible for investigating and finding the root cause of safety-related issues within the material department.
• Report out and analyze MMIL monthly.
• Responsible for the application and implementation of Physical Inventory procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring Low Volume Production material is ordered and processed to meet customer demand.
• Oversee schedule, repairs and maintenance of Forklifts
• Issue and control keys/cards of Forklifts to licensed drivers
• Maintains the shipping schedule with customers and carriers.
• Ensure proper product identification and traceability.
• Responsible for training all shipping and receiving personnel ensuring they understand the CMS system.
• Provide additional support with scheduling and implementation of the Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of changes to machinery and equipment and any associated scheduling and inventory requirements in conjunction with the Production and Engineering.
• Assist with scheduling and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects In conjunction with the Production and Engineering Managers.
• Provide training to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices and Job Safe Practices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others.
• Responsible for coordination of international freight requirements.
• Assist team during busy times by driving forklift and support when necessary
• Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
• Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.
• Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.

Education - discipline
Diploma in materials/logistics or equivalent.
ExperienceTechnical Skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)
• Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP system
• Experience working with various international customs and freight transportation
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lead cross functional teams

• Previous Supervisory Experience preferred
Compensation Package:- Salary Range $85,000.00 - $95,000.00
