Marketing Technology & Agentic Commerce Engineer Weingartz - Farmington Hills, MIWhat You'll Be DoingIntegrations & Data Flows- Build and maintain the integrations that carry product, pricing, inventory and customer data out of the systems of record into marketing and sales outputs: feeds, assets, websites, portals, email and analytics.
- Write and maintain the scripts, scheduled jobs and transformations that keep data moving, with error handling that fails loudly rather than quietly. Map and migrate records never built to a standard.
- Work with IT at each company on systems owned outside marketing, respecting that division of ownership.
Feeds, Findability & Agentic Commerce- Build and maintain outbound product feeds - retail, dealer, Google Merchant Center, marketplace and partner. Diagnose rejections and fix the cause at the source rather than patching the output.
- Implement agentic commerce feed eligibility: mandatory fields per SKU, real-time price and availability accuracy, and the feed structure required for AI-mediated purchase paths.
- Implement and maintain structured data and schema across company websites so products, locations, services and content are machine-readable.
- Build, ship and operate AI agents and workflows for customers, dealers or internal teams, define where a human stays in the loop, and deliver the first customer-facing agentic commerce experience into production.
- Measure findability and act on it: rank tracking, visibility in AI-generated answers, and where our products and content are and are not cited.
Automation, Websites & Dealer Platforms- Build the interface and data model for marketing asset automations - Price Book, Buyers Guide, Price Tags and others - alongside any contracted development.
- Automate repetitive marketing production work: data preparation, asset generation, publishing and quality checks. Measure the hours returned.
- Co-own websites and portals across the companies, public and internal: issue triage, fixes and the enhancement queue.
- Build the configuration and content architecture for the dealer self-serve content platform on the distributor's existing document management system.
- Define the split between configuration and outside development, and instrument dealer adoption so usage is measured rather than assumed.
Analytics, Support & Documentation- Trace and resolve problems when integrations, feeds, automations or sites break - including the slow kind where the cause is three systems upstream.
- Work the marketing technology support queue: triage what comes in, fix what can be fixed, escalate what cannot.
- Test before release, validate feeds against their specifications, and monitor production jobs so silent failures surface here first.
- Implement and maintain analytics instrumentation: tag management, event and conversion tracking, and the connection between marketing activity and revenue.
- Build and maintain the enterprise marketing scorecard, and make performance data usable without engineering help.
- Document integrations, data flows, scheduled jobs and configurations, and write runbooks for recurring processes, so the company is not dependent on one person.
