Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (TDSI) is seeking a Marketing Operations Coordinator to support the company's marketing, branding, trade show and customer event programs. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy and Communications out of Clarksburg, MD, this role supports marketing product/collateral creation, social media operations, corporate branding compliance and product execution, and event/trade show execution. This position will also be responsible for initiation and tracking of all marketing operations purchase requests and vendor invoicing and budget management within the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning tool. The ideal candidate must be willing to work within a small team environment and be highly organized, possess familiarity with defense/military systems marketing/public communications methods, learn and understand the TDSI capability portfolio and be effective in cross-functional team environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development and execution of the Thales Defense & Security marketing/communications plan
  • Coordinate specific product launch/marketing and branding plans and execute appropriate activities to support the plan
  • Support end-to-end execution of trade shows, customer demonstrations, executive briefings, and internal events.
  • Lead marketing budget actions to include formulation, tracking and execution of purchase requests for vendor services. Support and track vendor invoicing to ensure prompt payment activities
  • Support event logistics, vendor coordination, exhibit assets, and on-site support to ensure professional, compliant execution.
  • Partner with business development, product management, and engineering to align event messaging, demonstrations, customer meetings, presentation materials and customer engagement strategies.
  • Support development, maintenance, and deployment of event-related marketing collateral and demonstration assets.
  • Maintain a centralized repository for event assets, managing inventory and deployment of static models, demonstration units, and technical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, cybersecurity requirements, trade regulations (ITAR/EAR), and security protocols related to events and equipment.
  • Utilize project management tools and processes to track timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Support related communications projects as needed.

  • 2+ years working DoD Government Contractor Shows & Events with vendor management experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through, ensuring flawless execution of customer-facing events, executive engagements, and high-visibility programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, event attendees, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products - Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
  • Ability to follow and comply with all Company policies, procedures and guidelines including the Compliance Policy Manual and the Code of Ethics.

The annualized pay range for this role is $106,200.00 - $135,700.00 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
