Overview

The Experiential Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, production, execution and post-event analysis of best-in-class brand experiences that strengthen Foot Locker's connection to youth culture and local communities.

This role serves as the project lead throughout the entire experiential lifecycle-from receiving a brief and developing the strategy, to cross-functional alignment, agency management, onsite execution, and postmortem reporting.

Success in this role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is equally strategic and operational, and has the ability to build meaningful relationships across brands, agencies, community organizations, influencers, athletes, vendors and internal partners.

This individual is an exceptional communicator, highly organized, solutions-oriented and capable of managing multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously while delivering premium consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Experiential Strategy

Own experiential projects from initial briefing through postmortem.
Translate business objectives into innovative consumer experiences.
Develop event strategies that align with brand, retail and business priorities.
Recommend creative approaches that strengthen community engagement and brand affinity.
Identify opportunities to elevate experiences through innovation, culture and emerging trends.

Event Production & Execution

Lead planning and execution of experiential marketing activations ranging from community events to large-scale national moments.
Develop project timelines, production schedules and execution plans.
Manage agency partners, vendors, freelancers and production teams.
Direct agency and vendor partners responsible for permitting, logistics, staffing, security, transportation, fabrication, hospitality and event operations.
Ensure all experiences are executed on time, within budget and at premium brand standards.
Travel and provide onsite leadership during activations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Serve as the primary project manager across Marketing, Brand Partners, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, Legal, Finance, Communications, Social, Loyalty, Store Teams and external partners.
Lead cross-functional governance and stakeholder alignment through project lifecycles.
Ensure clear ownership, accountability and communication across all stakeholders.
Anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions before issues arise.

Community & Relationship Development

Build and maintain relationships with various external partners, not limited to, local vendors, community organizations, schools, cultural leaders, etc.
Serve as a trusted connector within the local market.
Continuously identify opportunities for authentic community partnerships.

Client & Brand Partnership Management

Partner directly with internal brand teams and external partners to understand business objectives.
Present experiential recommendations and project updates to senior leadership.
Manage client expectations while balancing timelines, budgets and operational realities.
Build confidence through excellent communication and flawless execution.

Project Management

Develop detailed project plans and execution timelines.
Maintain budgets and track expenses.
Manage production schedules.
Drive accountability across internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Create executive-ready presentations, recaps and postmortems.
Track KPIs and event performance.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experiential marketing, event production, brand marketing or agency experience.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale consumer events from strategy through execution.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
  • Experience working directly with clients, agencies and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong budget management experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends and traveling as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing relationships with local vendors, production partners and community organizations.
  • Experience within retail, sports, fashion, lifestyle or entertainment marketing.
  • Understanding of youth culture, sneaker culture, music, sports and community engagement.
  • Experience managing agencies and production partners.
  • Knowledge of event permitting and production logistics.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $82,000-$91,370. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
