DESCRIPTIONAt Chick-fil-A, the Marketing Director is responsible for:• Primarily, leading the charge to create and develop Ambassadors and Raving Fans by overseeing the sales and brand growth critical success factor
• In cooperation with the operator, create a yearly marketing strategy, quarterly marketing plan, and monthly marketing calendar.
• Oversee all social media channels including communication with guests. Maintain an active social media presence.
• Intentionally grow relationships in the Seekonk and surrounding communities. This may involve participation in civic organizations (such as Chamber of Commerce), or other community events.
• Maximize Chick-fil-A One and Spotlight to grow the business
• Coach team members on suggestive selling techniques and create incentives and contests to create team member engagement
• Communicate and coordinate execution of all catering orders from all catering sales channels (online ordering, EZ cater, etc).
• Keep up to date on communication from Chick-fil-A, Inc. regarding national marketing campaigns, new/seasonal products, and install all in-restaurant marketing materials
• Grow and develop all leaders who are within your influence and attend/contribute to all required leadership meetings
• Be ready and willing to assist in operations when needed
• Complete any other duties given by the Operator
Success factors & Matching Measurements We will know the Marketing Director is successful upon attaining the following: • Monthly sales increase over previous year at or above Chick-fil-A average
• Growth in monthly catering sales of at least 10% over previous year
• Staying within established marketing budgets each month
• Growth in check average over previous year
Behavioral Characteristics The Marketing Director should:• Must be willing and able to effectively clean a bathroom
• Work a minimum of forty hours per week in the restaurant, including both opening and closing.
• Be goal-oriented and organized
• Exhibit high level communication skills and ability to give and receive critical feedback from other leaders and the operator.
• Allocate necessary time each week to administrative tasks, planning, or coaching (communicate with schedule maker to ensure it's planned in)
• Combine critical thinking and practical leadership to enthusiastically and passionately lead their area
• Effectively coach and give direction
• High standards of operational excellence and show attention to detail
