Position Summary: This is a hands-on role for a versatile B2B marketer who can think strategically, establish priorities, and personally execute the work necessary to move initiatives forward. The Marketing & Communications Lead will partner closely with Sales and company leadership to build market awareness, support commercial growth, strengthen customer and channel relationships, and clearly communicate the Mission Solar Energy brand and value proposition. The role will lead initiatives across digital marketing, trade shows and events, CRM and lead management, channel marketing, sales enablement, product messaging, corporate communications, public relations, and performance reporting. The Marketing & Communications Lead will also serve as the primary day-to-day contact for Mission Solar Energy's external marketing agency and other creative partners, providing direction, managing priorities, and ensuring deliverables meet the company's standards for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency. Key Responsibilities: • Marketing Strategy & Execution: Lead day-to-day marketing and communications initiatives in support of company and commercial objectives. Partner with Sales and leadership to establish priorities, develop campaigns, and strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement. • Digital Marketing & CRM: Manage email marketing, digital campaigns, website content, organic social media, and landing pages. Oversee HubSpot campaigns, segmentation, workflows, lead management, data quality, and marketing reporting. • Trade Shows & Events: Plan and execute trade shows, conferences, and customer events, including booth development, vendors, logistics, promotional materials, lead capture, and post-event follow-up. • Agency & Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the company's marketing agency and other creative vendors. Develop briefs, manage priorities and timelines, provide feedback, and ensure deliverables are accurate, on brand, and completed to a high standard. • Channel Marketing & Sales Enablement: Partner with Sales to support distributors, installers, developers, EPCs, and other channel partners through campaigns, co-marketing initiatives, presentations, product materials, sales collateral, and other marketing resources. • Product Marketing & Brand Messaging: Translate technical product information, datasheets, certifications, warranties, and product features into clear and compelling customer-facing messaging. Support media relations and coordinate appropriate internal review of sensitive, technical, regulatory, or industry-related communications prior to publication. • Budget, Performance & Reporting: Manage marketing expenses, agency and vendor costs, events, sponsorships, and other marketing investments. Monitor performance, track results, and provide leadership with regular reporting and recommendations. • initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring projects are completed accurately, effectively, and on schedule. • Maintain consistent brand positioning, messaging, and visual standards across marketing channels and customer touchpoints. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience. • Minimum of 5 years of B2B marketing and/or communications experience. • Demonstrated hands-on experience planning and executing trade shows, conferences, or industry events. • Broad digital marketing experience across email, websites, social media, campaigns, and content development. • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. • Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms. • Experience developing marketing communications, sales collateral, or other external-facing business content. • Experience directing agencies, vendors, or outside creative partners, including developing briefs, managing timelines, and providing constructive feedback. • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing communications and marketing materials for external audiences. • Ability to work independently and take initiatives from concept through execution. • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, leadership, technical teams, and external partners. • Based in San Antonio, Texas, or willing to relocate. • Ability to travel approximately 15-25%, primarily for trade shows, customer events, and industry activities. . Preferred Skills: • Experience within the solar or renewable energy industry. • B2B marketing experience in adjacent industries such as electrical distribution, energy storage, HVAC, building products, manufacturing, or other technical product environments. • Experience with HubSpot, including campaigns, reporting, workflows, segmentation, and lead management. • Experience with channel or partner marketing, including co-marketing, co-op, or market development fund (MDF) programs.
