Job Title: Market Manager Job Type: Exempt, Full-Time Location: San Diego, CA
Position Summary: The Market Manager is responsible for leading and driving the business performance of our distributors across the San Diego territory. This role requires a dynamic leader who can mentor and manage our Field Sales Representative (FSR) and Distributor Partners, ensuring that they meet and exceed set goals. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and achieving business targets while fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes teamwork and results.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Distributor Management
Oversee and enhance the performance of Ballast Point Brewing Co. distributors across San Diego. Conduct regular in-person meetings to review performance, programming, and market opportunities.
Team Leadership
Mentor the internal Field Sales Representative team in key markets. Set clear goals and drive accountability for both the wholesaler and FSR teams, using metrics to measure performance and improve processes.
Strategic Planning
Lead the execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans, ensuring that all targets are met. Work closely with the National/Key Account Team to support and execute brand initiatives and promotional programming.
Performance Monitoring
Constantly monitor evolving business trends to anticipate changes, improve performance, and drive sales results. Participate in and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual planning meetings and business reviews with distributor leadership.
Event Management
Oversee the planning and execution of local events, sampling, and other market initiatives, working closely with distributors and the FSR team.
Business Administration
Manage team budgets, track wholesaler incentive programming, and oversee T&E and invoices. Conduct annual team performance reviews and development planning. Review weekly FSR KARMA notes, providing support and follow-ups as needed.
