Job Description

Manufacturing Test Engineer

Drive manufacturing excellence by resolving production issues, optimizing test processes, developing manufacturing software and test systems, and partnering across teams to improve quality, yield, efficiency, and compliance in system-level manufacturing operations.


Your role:

  • Provide daily engineering support to manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and ensure on-time delivery goals.

  • Lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives through production data analysis.

  • Serve as the technical expert for system-level manufacturing test processes, supporting AIM, Safety, FAT, and other test stations.

  • Develop, validate, and optimize test processes to improve test repeatability, efficiency, data integrity, and overall manufacturing performance.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing software, automation tools, and system integrations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support compliance, CAPA activities, and operational excellence.


You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, test engineering, software engineering, or related technical roles, with hands-on experience supporting production operations, manufacturing test systems, automated test equipment, MES systems, process validation, and regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Your skills include strong software development expertise in C#, C++, SQL, Object-Oriented Programming, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production data analysis.

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, or a related technical discipline.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .

How we work together


We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.


This role is an onsite role.

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position in Reedsville, PA is $95,250 to $127,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.   

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found . 

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
