Perform optics assembly involving free-beam lasers and remote optical combiners, including laser alignment processes that manipulate the laser beam through various optical components, and assemble optical subassembly components for use in the laser system.
Operate standard and custom laser and optical-based equipment, such as wavefront measuring devices, optical power meters, and oscilloscopes, run laser systems through automated test sequences, and perform fiber coupling operations to maximize power throughput.
Troubleshoot laser systems upon test failure and take the necessary actions to repair them, and perform critical cosmetic and cleanliness inspections of the laser system using a UV light source.
Use Word and Excel as needed to track and store required production and inspection data.
