Engineer II: $38.46-$44.23/hour

As a ManufacturingSafety Engineer in Faribault, MN, you will:
Lead safety engineering initiatives focused on machine guarding, tooling and fixture safety, ergonomics, and risk reduction in a manufacturing environment
Conduct on-site assessments to identify hazards, compliance gaps, and engineering-driven improvement opportunities
Develop and implement corrective actions aligned with OSHA, ANSI, and internal safety standards
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure safe equipment design and use
Update documentation, perform risk assessments, and support safety validation activities
Provide technical guidance and training to reinforce safe work practices across the site
Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to leadership to drive continuous improvement
Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
5+ years of experience in Safety Engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
Experience conducting safety assessments, hazard identification, and compliance evaluations in manufacturing environments
Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and machine-safety standards, including guarding, lockout/tagout, and ergonomics
Ability to develop, implement, and validate corrective actions and engineering controls
Familiarity with tools, fixtures, and equipment design principles related to safe operation
Strong collaboration skills with engineering, maintenance, operations, and leadership teams
Skill in delivering safety training, technical guidance, and hands-on instruction to on-site teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on reducing risk and improving safety performance
