Full Job Description
Job Purpose

Primary role evaluate / perform powertrain tests for New Model and Mass Production change points. Evaluate the data in a technical format with judgement to Management and CIE/ACIE. Monitor progress and performance against NM Project, plan versus actual. Resolve quality problems as a subject matter expert through FTA, engineering theory, etc. Coordinate with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project/special testing. Report summary at delivery evaluations. Coach and mentor PED associates and assist them to solve problems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform powertrain testing, guaranteeing test condition & guidelines after thoroughly understanding the test purpose. Complete analysis of test and take appropriate action depending on results.
  • Perform all data collection, product maintenance, and evaluations guaranteeing adherence to test guidelines. Summarize testing with judgement and present to management.
  • Lead complex problem solving analysis, investigations and report creation utilizing engineering theory/principles.
  • Create/maintain activity plans / schedules for deep rooted, complex, design, and potential market issues.
  • Mentor entry level associates, co-op associates, or associates new to group to develop technical and Honda knowledge.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.


Minimum Experience:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience based on Education.


Other Job-Specific Skills:
  • Strong project management experience, technical analysis, theme leadership, part approval expertise, strength in problem solving, catia, proficient in Microsoft, good organization skills

Working Conditions

  • Hands-on, inside vehicle work is expected.
  • Test lab work and test shop work is typically 50%-75% of time.
  • Able to travel (international and domestic)
  • Flexibility to work OT as needed
  • All tools and equipment provided by HDMA
