Position at New Pig Corporation

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management:
  • Manage the existing base of raw material and contracted suppliers to ensure materials/products meet specifications
  • Manage a database of supplier specifications and ensure supplier has the capability to supply to needs
  • Manage the on-going technical relationship with suppliers as needed
  • Drive activities towards supplier improvement and scrap reduction to reduce cost
  • Lead or manage the response to supplier quality issues via investigation, data analysis, root cause, problem solving and implementation involving stakeholders and suppliers
  • Manage the Supplier Corrective Action Process and documentation
  • Manage the incoming inspection and data collection of raw goods as determined

New Products:
  • Work with Product Development to ensure proper quality documentation and supplier capability
  • Manage and facilitate the process of new manufactured product flow and costing by working with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production Management
  • Work with Inventory Control and Purchasing to install purchasing specifications
  • Set-up in-coming QC inspection and documentation as needed

Internal Quality Systems:
  • Manage internal production quality systems to ensure all products are made to specification
  • Manage a team of Quality Technicians in support of product production
  • Manage the Engineering Change process and documentation
  • Manage the investigation and containment of all non-conforming goods from raw stock to warehoused finished goods
  • Support Corporate Quality as needed with conformance to ISO9001 standards
  • Adhere to New Pig's Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards


RequirementsKnowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role
  • Strong knowledge of science, physics and mathematics
  • Strong knowledge around statistical analysis, SPC and statistical software packages
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement tools. Green Belt or higher a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills, excellent written and oral communication skills

Work Locations/Hours:
  • Position covers all New Pig facilities located in Tipton, Duncansville and Altoona, PA
  • Core hours to cover daylight shift between 7am and 4pm with off-shift work as needed
  • Travel to customer sites as needed
