Manufacturing Planning Systems Specialist - Bilingual

Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States | On-site | Contract / C2C | 40 hours per week

About the Opportunity

MaxIT Consulting is seeking a bilingual SAP PP professional to support manufacturing users and daily production operations at a client location in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.

This is primarily a functional support, troubleshooting, and user-training position-not a greenfield implementation role. The selected professional will work closely with production planners, supervisors, shop-floor personnel, warehouse teams, and business stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure continuity across manufacturing activities.

Candidates from SAP consulting, production-support, key-user, super-user, or experienced business-user backgrounds may be considered when they demonstrate strong hands-on SAP PP knowledge and the ability to independently support and train users in Spanish and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP Production Planning processes.
  • Assist users with production orders, planned orders, MRP results, confirmations, material availability, capacity-related issues, and manufacturing master data.
  • Investigate incidents and determine whether they relate to configuration, master data, interfaces, transactional execution, or user procedures.
  • Support production planners, supervisors, shop-floor personnel, and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Explain SAP processes clearly and deliver practical user training in Spanish and English.
  • Maintain process documentation, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
  • Coordinate with SAP MM, IM, and WM support resources when issues cross functional boundaries.
  • Monitor or help troubleshoot basic IDoc, EDI, and transaction-flow issues affecting production operations.
  • Support testing, production stabilization, incident resolution, and continuous process improvement.
  • Participate in rotational-shift coverage according to the structure explained during the interview process.

Required Qualifications
  • Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English.
  • Ability to support and train Spanish-speaking users in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP PP and production-planning processes.
  • Experience with production orders, MRP, manufacturing master data, confirmations, and production execution.
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional incidents and guide users through practical resolutions.
  • Experience working with manufacturing, plant, or shop-floor stakeholders.
  • Availability to work on-site in Chelmsford five days per week.
  • Availability for 40 hours per week and rotational shifts.
  • Legal ability to work in the United States under a structure compatible with a C2C engagement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Approximately five or more years of SAP or manufacturing-operations experience.
  • Exposure to SAP MM, IM, or WM integration.
  • Working knowledge of IDocs, EDI, interfaces, and failed transaction monitoring.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • SAP certification or formal functional training.
  • Experience in production support, hypercare, AMS, or high-volume manufacturing environments.

Important Information

Applicants do not need to be experts in every SAP logistics module. For this position, strong SAP PP functional capability is the primary requirement. Cross-functional experience is valuable but not mandatory.

Candidates outside Massachusetts may be considered if they can relocate and be available for full on-site attendance before the agreed start date.

The exact rotational-shift schedule and coverage expectations will be explained during the interview process. Employer or client sponsorship is not available for this engagement.
