Job Summary:
This is a manufacturing leadership opportunity supporting the build-out of Alpitronic's U.S. production operation. The role owns a complete manufacturing value stream for advanced DC fast-charging systems and leads a multidisciplinary organization spanning frontline production leadership, process/industrial engineering and quality. The focus is on scaling production while building the operating system around safety, quality, Lean, FPY, productivity and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
Safety, Order and Cleanliness Compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and foster a culture of safety across defined operational areas.
• Define cleanliness and order standards and guarantee their consistent implementation throughout the organization.
• Identify operational risks and implement preventive measures to ensure compliance and business continuity.
• Conduct regular reviews of implemented standards to ensure ongoing relevance, effectiveness, and compliance.
Operational Performance & Production Management
• Ensure planned production output for the responsible line in alignment with the production schedule, meeting targets for quantity, quality, lead time, value-added cost, and productivity.
• Develop demand plans for space, equipment, and personnel in close collaboration with Operations Engineering and the Site Director.
• Moderate and lead shop floor meetings to ensure alignment, communication, and operational control.
• Provide technical support for issues related to the assembly of electromechanical systems.
• Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and initiate corrective actions when required.
Quality & Technical Excellence
• Identify improvement potentials in assembly and testing technology and implement effective solutions to enhance quality, output, and First Pass Yield.
Continuous Improvement & Kaizen
• Drive continuous productivity improvements by applying Kaizen principles and eliminating waste in all assembly processes.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Kaizen methodologies (e.g., 5S, standard work, waste reduction).
People Leadership & Talent Development
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team (First Line Managers, Quality, Process, and Industrial Engineers) through effective goal setting, coaching, and constructive feedback.
• Develop team capabilities by identifying skill gaps and enabling targeted training and development initiatives.
• Prepare promotion proposals based on performance evaluations, competency development, and alignment with company promotion criteria.
• Participate in the selection process and conduct interviews for new employees.
• Prepare salary proposals based on job requirements and internal equity considerations.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with Procurement, HR, HSE, Facility Management, Operations Engineering, Quality, and R&D to ensure efficient operational alignment.
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field
• At least 3 years of professional experience in comparable fields to possess the necessary technical knowledge of electromechanical system assembly and its processes
• Extensive technical expertise in the assembly of power electronics
• At least 3 years of experience in personnel management within industrial assembly operations
• Solid knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement processes
• Experience in quality management: familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, quality control procedures and tools, and implementation of quality initiatives; methodologies such as 8D reports, process FMEA, and OEE
• Basic knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
• Strong shopfloor management skills
• Knowledge and experience in automation technology are an advantage
• MES & ERP knowledge (e.g., production order feedback, work step feedback, time tracking, efficiency measurement, capacity and personnel planning, creation of quality notifications, etc.)
