We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Theragenics Team in Buford, GA.
The selected candidate will perform all engineering duties required in designing, fabricating, prototyping and implementing engineering controls and systems for all manufacturing processes for our Radioisotope team. The position provides troubleshooting expertise for manufacturing systems for all operating and proposed manufacturing systems and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and fabricate automated equipment for production.
• Develop and implement electrical control systems.
• Create SolidWorks engineering assembly drawings and details for fabrication.
• Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise.
• Specify and procure capital equipment to ensure technological advantage and competitiveness through process capability and control.
• Develop new manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, increase yield, and reduce downtime on the manufacturing floor.
• Develop effective setup reduction strategies and preventive and predictive maintenance processes to maximize equipment uptime.
• Advise on product and process capabilities and limitations to ensure the proper alignment between product design and process capabilities.
• Assist in execution of protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and completion of all necessary validation documentation for implementation into production.
• Oversee the production processes and recommend efficiency and quality improvements.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelors degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering or related field

• Five years related experience
