Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you'll support production targets and play a key role in shaping how components, assemblies, and machines are built, refined, and delivered.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you'll guide the development of fabrication and assembly processes for complex components while leading product launch activities that bring new technology to life. You will be responsible for meeting key operational targets-including Availability, Performance, and Quality-and ensuring that all manufacturing activities follow established scopes of work. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enhance manufacturing processes, develop specifications for materials and equipment, and lead design-for-manufacturing reviews that strengthen engineering packages for fabrication. A major part of your impact will come from seeking out and implementing process improvements, whether they involve machining techniques, fixturing methods, tooling innovations, material selection, or other Lean manufacturing strategies. You'll assess potential risks within future-state processes, manage project schedules and budgets, and drive planning and analysis efforts that keep operations running smoothly. Throughout all of this, you'll uphold company policies, safety standards, security requirements, and environmental responsibilities-ensuring excellence in every step of the manufacturing journey.
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Experience with Lean manufacturing
• Experience with industry manufacturing quality systems (NQA-1, ISO-TS, AS9001)
• Experience with AIAG Core Tools
A Successful Candidate Also Brings
• Experience in statistical analysis
• Background in composites manufacturing, machining, assembly, or fabrication
• Project management experience
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance preferred
• Centrifuge manufacturing experience is a plus
• Experience working with license-driven safety-significant parts/systems
Pay
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $98,227-$163,711. This position is Incentive eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
