Full Job Description
POSITION: Manufacturing Engineer

LOCATION: Jupiter, FL

STATUS: Salary Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

Ownership of PSM's Combustion product lines throughout the complete life cycle including development, serial production, and reconditioning. Lead the integrated product team (IPT) to develop and deliver PSM Combustion products. Develop and build the knowledge base required for appropriate manufacturing and reconditioning best practices across the product line.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Ensure that PSM products meet customer durability and performance requirements with a stable and conforming manufacturing/reconditioning process.
  • Establish technical acceptance criteria for the manufacture and repair of Combustion components.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to develop manufacturing processes for new Combustion products according to the technical and program requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal groups and the workshop to develop repair processes for new Combustion products according to the technical and program requirements.
  • Work to ensure that technical and quality documentation is correct and complete in accordance with PSM requirements.
  • Generate required manufacturing shop routers to establish production line workflow for both new combustion components and reconditioning processes.
  • Provide input into new design components for manufacturability and reparability.
  • Establish manufacturing/reconditioning best practices for the product line.
  • Disposition non-conforming product and work to eliminate the root cause of the issue for future orders.
  • Work to improve PSM products with respect to quality, cost, and lead-time.
  • Promote a safe working environment through existing EHS initiatives and the proposal of new EHS initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field or other relevant degree. Or 5+ years of relevant experience in the Gas Turbine (GT) industry or related manufacturing/repair environment.
  • Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix.


Skills/Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Gas Turbine Combustion component design and operation.
  • Understanding of Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) Combustion manufacturing and repair processes.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership experience.
  • Understanding of technical drawings, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD & T) and industrial specifications.
  • Familiarity with SAP and creation/revision of workshop routers.
  • Ability to work in a professional team environment.
  • Limited travel required.
