Job Title

Manufacturing Engineer (Mid-Level)

Kodiak Aircraft is seeking a capable Manufacturing Engineer to help turnaircraftdesign intent into repeatable, efficient, and controlled production methods.

This role connects Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Tooling, Supply Chain, ERP, and cost. You will work with Senior Manufacturing Engineers and production teams to improve build sequence, methods, manufacturing documentation, tooling needs, and DFM feedback.

This is not a role where you simply document what someone else decides. It is a growth role with real ownership in assigned areas, shop-floor engagement, and a path toward broader autonomy over time.

What This Role Is

We are looking for someone who can independently handle day-to-day method improvements and DFM analysis within their area, while knowing when to bring in the Manufacturing Engineering Lead or senior support for higher-risk or broader-system decisions.

What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, ora relatedfield.
  • • 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or complex assembly.
  • • Strong hands-on understanding of machining, sheet metal, welding, composites, and mechanical or electrical assembly, with depth in at least one area and working knowledge across others.
  • • Strong CADproficiencyand fluency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • • Experience with DFM analysis and manufacturing-specific documentation, or strong aptitude and willingness to build this capability.
  • • Working ERP experience such as Epicor or SAP, includingeBOM/mBOMreconciliation androutings.
  • • Credibility on the shop floor, good judgment, root-cause problem solving, anda track recordof following through on assigned work.

Preferred

  • Experience in general aviation or low-rate high-mix aerospace production, introducing manufacturing print or DFM practices to an existing product, Lean or continuous improvement, AS9100 or FAA/FAR Part 23 manufacturing environments, and supplier manufacturability or delivery issue resolution.

  • The compensation range is $90,000 to $120,000 in base salary plus an annual target bonus.
