Full Job Description
Dynamic has an intriguing opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will have a strong understanding of information flow and product flow and 3-5 years in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment. In addition to having skills in problem solving, collaboration, and creativity, the ideal candidate must be able to identify process improvement opportunities with respect to operations and personnel. The ability to find ways to eliminate waste, improve work-flow, insure safety and improve production output in current and new production processes is crucial.

Core Responsibilities
  • Process Development Project Management - ensuring completion from start to finish
  • Supports product launch activities
  • Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
  • Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
  • Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
  • Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
  • Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
  • Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field strongly preferred and at 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an assembly manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience with Automotive Industry standards and requirements, i.e. IATF 16949 preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capable of identifying and leading lean continuous improvement events
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Team building, decision-making and people management skills
