Job DescriptionEmerson is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work out of our facilities in Marshalltown, IA, Gonzalez, LA, or Pasadena, TX. This position will make a difference by working in partnership with the manufacturing engineering and the manufacturing operations teams to design and implement processes and tools that support Safety, Service Levels, and operational efficiency goals across the five North America Rapid Response Centers: Pasadena, TX, Gonzales, LA, Atlanta, GA, Hamilton, ON (Canada), and Edmonton, AB (Canada).
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be- Develop manufacturing procedures, processes, and best practices to implement standardized work across the network.
- Develop fair and equitable time estimates for machine process routings.
- Use CAM software to create CNC programs for machine tools, lathes, and milling machines.
- Create controlled documentation for machine setups.
- Assist machine operators with day-to-day machining, tooling, and work-holding challenges.
- Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving teams to implement changes that will drive sustained performance improvement.
- Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Collaborate with the North America Factory Automation Leader on new project developments, to drive initiatives and improvements with innovation and new process technologies, including Intelligent Automation.
- Contribute to the design, development, and support for a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow, and apply continuous improvement methods.
- Analyze performance and quality metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and manage project plans with cross-functional teams.
- Support Emerson safety and quality program compliance.
- Support commitment to Sustainability by implementing sustainable manufacturing processes or products.

For this Role You Will Need- Bachelor's in relevant Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart- Experience in the following areas
- Proficient with CAD and CAM software (Edgecam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with CNC programming multi-axis CNC milling and lathe turning machines.
- Familiar with Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazak machine tool controllers.
- Evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Functional gauging and measuring instruments.
- Manufacturing Execution Systems and / or other production, material, and capacity planning software.
- Computerized Maintenance Management System and / or other asset management software or database.
