Manufacturing Engineer

Are you passionate about solving technical challenges and improving manufacturing performance? We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our electronic assembly and test operations, driving continuous improvement, quality, and operational excellence across the production environment.

The key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics may include the following as well as other items required to execute the role.

  • Providing hands-on support to manufacturing operations, including PCBA fault finding and troubleshooting.

  • Investigating and dispositioning non-conforming materials and products, implementing effective corrective actions.

  • Driving initiatives to reduce product cost, improve quality, and shorten manufacturing lead times.

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and test solutions for both existing products and new product introductions.

  • Partnering with suppliers to improve quality, delivery performance, and manufacturing capability.

  • Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including assembly instructions, test procedures, and work instructions.

  • Applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve productivity.

  • Using data analysis and statistical techniques to identify trends, solve problems, and improve process performance.

  • Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support business objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Have a Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related discipline) preferred. HNC/HND in Electronics with relevant industry experience will also be considered.

  • Have minimum 4 years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or Process Engineering role.

  • Have experience supporting shop-floor manufacturing operations and troubleshooting electronic assemblies.

  • Have strong root cause problem-solving skills and experience implementing corrective and preventative actions.

  • Have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Shainin, DOE, and continuous improvement tools.

  • Have experience designing production tooling, fixtures, and test equipment.

  • Show strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Have ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Assembly Repair Maintenance Overhaul Experience 

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • IPC Class III inspection or IPC certification.

  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and supplier development activities.

  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment such as Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Defense, Medical, or Automotive.
