Our
Military Aircraft Group is seeking a
Manufacturing Engineer/NC Programmer to join our Prismatic Manufacturing Group in East Aurora, NY. This is your opportunity to join a high-impact team where innovation meets precision, and your expertise drives the development of cutting-edge aerospace components.
As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you'll be at the forefront of both new product development and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes. You'll work hands-on with milled parts, applying advanced CNC programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance.
As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you will:- Develop and optimize CNC Mill machining processes for both new and legacy components
- Create detailed CNC programs and manufacturing instructions that meet rigorous engineering specifications
- Define operation sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements for precision part fabrication
- Troubleshoot shop floor issues, including tooling, gauging, workholding, and inspection challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems and enhance producibility
- Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies
- Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements
- Assist in the creation of machine-ready code and be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting
- Estimate setup/run times and tooling hours; contribute to cost estimation for new business proposals
- Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives in processes and equipment
To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically bring:- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or an Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience
- Proficiency in CNC Mill Machining
- 3+ years experience CNC Programming using CAD/CAM software
- Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation
It'd be great if you also had:- A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- Background in the aerospace industry
- Experience with machine automation integration
- Skills in inspection of machined parts
- Hands-on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum
- Proficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NX
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus

Salary Range Transparency:Buffalo, NY $80,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually
